Art Unites – a short movie on art workshops for community inclusion

After many workshops facing the uncertainties of the pandemic, our discussions and common action (and much much work) have resulted in the movie “Art Unites”.

Art unites because we can overcome language barriers and the restrictions of verbal communication and social stereotypes and communicate directly through art and self-expression. We have used art as a tool to come together and forge a sense of community and belonging.

Οn Friday, September 17th, 2021, we screened our film during the Fest of Togetherness, in Athens, Greece.

We gathered at the archaeological park of Plato’s Academy and had the opportunity to see the film and discuss the experience. Some of the workshop facilitators were present, ready to take questions.
