On 26 March 2021, Inter Alia implemented the webinar titled “Advocacy Online”, as part of the webinar series of the Public Makers project organised in the context of Open Data Day 2021.

The webinar “Advocacy Online” was the fourth and final webinar of the series. In the previous three webinars, we discussed why open data is important, we got a glimpse on how to generate, use, and manipulate open data, and, also, we learned how to visualise open data in order to present them in a more appealing and meaningful way.

In this last webinar, we assumed that we have collected and processed our data, we have analysed the needs of our community, and we have come up with some solutions. And then, in order to persuade and motivate our audiences and the policy makers to take action, we explored a few social media storytelling techniques, and a few tips and tricks to keep in mind for our advocacy campaign to be successful.

The presentation of the webinar, published under the terms of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, includes all these useful tips and tricks, as well as links to useful resources provided by social media platforms, and can be accessed here.
