I feel as though this programme provided me with a solid foundation for my desired career. I was able to cultivate highly sought skills such as enhancing my previous problem-solving and collaborative skills in addition to developing a strong network and knowledge needed for public policy. Through undertaking training sessions, led by refugees and practitioners, I had the chance to evaluate different solutions to the biggest issues we face today such as forced migration and poor mental health while understanding how I as an individual can safely help mitigate these problems. In this programme, I connected with like-minded people while gaining hands-on experience (through the professional visit) in one of the biggest powerhouses in the world. It was highly rewarding to discover the mindset of a Greek citizen and understand the various ways I can empower and encourage refugees to enhance their employability.
