12th BBB Short Film Festival – Skin to (Screen to) Skin

BBB Short Film Festival travels to Pristina, Kosovo for the 12th Edition; once more, Inter Alia is among the festival’s supporters.

Inspired by the issue of communication that was challenged through the pandemic, the festival will feature a Competition Programme of 33 short films representing young Balkan filmmakers. Participating filmmakers will have the opportunity to get awarded with the Awards:

  • BBB Best Prize
  • First Entry
  • Audience
  • Special Mentions

The festival will take place from Thursday, 28 to Sunday, 31 of October 2021 at Kino ARMATA.

Gala of Curiosities

This year, the festival welcomes ECHO II “Traditions in Transition”, a project led by Inter Alia co-funded by Creative Europe. The side event will bring together professionals from the cultural and creative sectors from around Europe to discuss the issue of “Traditions in Transition”.

In addition, GLAM Hack will design and offer two custom workshops for professionals and amateurs to learn and experiment on how to reuse and remix the open content of the ECHO II digital collection and repository for their own research, educational and creative purposes. 

Awards

Participating filmmakers will have the opportunity to get awarded with the Awards: BBB Best Prize, First Entry, Audience and Special Mentions. The total amount of Awards goes up to 1.800€.

BBB Short Film Festival travels from city to city and triggers inspiration through its different thematic every year. Committed to its goal, BBB challenges contemporaneity by motivating young people to make use of their creativity, it breaks persisting stereotypes about what is and what is not ‘Balkan’ and provides an open floor for free expression and problem-solving. All participants become part of a cultural networking hub which helps them for future collaborations. The Festival is supported by Creative Europe and the Municipality of Pristina and collaborates with a great deal of cultural and youth organization in the region.
