The Training Course will focus on Community Building and Development. It will be held in Skoulikaria and Athens and will use experiential learning, peer-learning, motivation and spontaneous informal learning combining the experiences of all partners and participants.
The “Grapes of Wrath” Training Course tackles three interconnected issues: crisis, community and learning/ education. Given the different cultural backgrounds of the participants, the Training Course will function as a preparatory intercultural experience where the basic principles of a non-formal session will be provided on the basis of a multicultural learning concerning language, differences, similarities, stereotypes, etc.

Content & Aims
Participants will be trained in managing crises through building communities and on ways to transform this experience into effective learning. All participants are expected to be experienced youth workers and in the position to contribute actively to the learning process. Participants will build their capacity to identify relevant needs resulting from a crisis or challenges, to transform it to action and to build learning projects for sustaining the impact of community action in order to avert the reoccurrence of crisis.

Expected Results
After the Training participants will have acquired new skills related to crisis management, community building and the process of learning (learning to learn). These will be achieved through building their capacity to identify relevant needs resulting from a crisis or challenge, to transform it to action and to build learning projects for sustaining the impact of community action in order to avert the reoccurrence of crisis.
