The ANTYGONE (Acquiring New Tools for Youngsters to Get Out NEET and Exclusion) project is an ongoing long-term effort to make use of the Antigone tragedy by Sophocles to tackle present-day issues like discrimination and extremism. The main objectives of the learning activities are to encourage tolerance and non-violence and to strengthen youngsters’ active citizenship and personal skills. The project foresees two youth exchanges per year with approximately 100 youngsters, one of which is held in Greece, and includes workshops and training on improvisation techniques, body and voice exercises and a public performance.
