June’s edition of “Our Eye on the EU” is full of news. For our broadcast, we decided to focus on 3 topics. A new deal between the EU and Tunisia, worth 100 million euros, to combat migration. We also talk about young people’s condition in Europe when it comes to their labour rights, and specifically of a new proposal of the European Parliament to ban unpaid traineeships. Finally, we go on with our reflections on the effectiveness of the European Citizens’ Initiative as an instrument that citizens have to have a say on EU policies, in a moment when EU institutions are discussing to reform it.
