Positively Different Short Film Festival is back for the 5th year with restlessness and momentum!
40 short films introduce us to rugged but exciting worlds and invite us to get immersed in them. WIth humour, sensibility, courage and curiosity, creators from 22 countries express common questions and concerns: What are the limits of our identities? How do you resist oblivion, when you “don’t remember what you don’t remember”? The programme is structured around gender, sexuality, disability, migration, class, race and invites us to think and pose questions.
Creators from Greece and abroad will be present in all screenings and will discuss with the audience in Q&A sessions. The 40 finalists will compete for 4 awards: Best Film, Audience Award, Best Greek Production and Curatorial Team Award. Specially curated sets will be screened to high school students on Thursday and Friday, March 7 & 8, while on the last day of the festival, the awarded films will be screened simultaneously in Athens, Istanbul and Berlin. Concerts, masterclasses and panel discussions will assemble the festival in a four-day celebration dedicated to diversity, love and revolt.
PDSFF has made the cinema as accessible as possible for people with mobility issues, by temporarily installing a wheelchair lift on the days of the festival. There will be festival staff available on site to direct guests with mobility issues to the lift.
