Inter Alia is looking for Communications & Outreach Coordinator for PDSFF24

Inter Alia seeks a full-time Communications and Outreach Coordinator to plan, direct, and implement all activities and actions aiming to establish and enhance PDSFF24’s public image and visual identity. The selected person will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of the communications strategy of the Festival from December through March. The selected person will report to the Inter Alia’s Head of Production. This position is in-person located in Athens, Greece. The anticipated start date is 10 December 2023, and the expected end date is 10 March 2024.

The overall communication strategy is structured upon three main channels;

  • Press & digital presence,
  • Social media management,
  • Sponsorships & collaborations.

Press & digital presence

  • Liaise between the visual designer and the communications’ team to create materials for across the Festival’s online channels promoting PDSFF24 visual identity.
  • Oversee the positioning and usage of new materials across the Festival’s channels (website, social media channels, press articles, etc.)
  • Maintain old and initiate new relationships with Greek press and festival affiliates for the creation and publication of articles in their official websites and social media channels.
  • Coordinate the conduction and publication of interviews between festival representatives and the media.
  • Act as a liaison between invited filmmakers/finalists and Greek press for the production and publication of original content before the full-Festival run (March 7-10).
  • Be responsible over the visual (print & digital) materials for parallel and special screenings (in collaboration with the graphic designer)

Social media management

  • Design and implement a solid SoMe plan diffusing information and triggering curiosity around PDSFF24 December through March.
  • Liaise with the visual designer and the coms team to create engaging digital content based on the PDSFF24 visual identity.
  • Create meaningful connections with Greek and International SoMe outlets and accounts whom the Festival shares similar areas of interest.
  • Schedule and supervise the continuous flow on information through the Festival’s channels December through March with a goal to grow PDSFF24 online following.
  • Design and oversee (together with the comms team) the online advertisement plan during December – March

Sponsorships & collaborations

  • Support the management team in creating engaging and appropriate content (presentations, keynotes, one-pagers, etc.) for existing and potential sponsors.
  • Liaise between the management team and the coms team to design and implement events that promote the Festival’s mission and raise awareness around its visual identity.
  • Supervise the image promoted through the Festival’s channels concerning parallel events, trainings, pop-up screenings, funded events and liaise between sponsors, venues and the Festival to make sure their demands are met in an appropriate and reasonable way.
  • Identify new opportunities for collaborations and spaces for the Festival to grow and promote its mission.

Other duties as Assigned

  • Assist with training and onboarding for interns, volunteers, and festival staff.
  • Support general office coordination and administrative needs.
  • Will assist with other promotional, planning, and financial duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least two years of experience in the event management sector / cultural management industry
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, film, media, or related fields.
  • A passion for the arts and film and proven experience on working at film festivals.
