On December 21, 2023, 10 young performers – comedians accepted the call of Positively Different Short Film Festival and Inter Alia and met at Bageion for a night of laughter and solidarity at the ‘Stand-up for Dignity’ comedy night. They explored the comic side of what defines and angers them, what they fight over and tolerate. The event served as the official launch of the 5th edition of the Positively Different Short Film Festival, PDSFF24 | Love & Revolt.
The hostesses of the evening, Konstantina Daouti and Christina Voulgari, set the tone of the evening, challenging stereotypes and warming up the audience. Emily Danou, George Gialelis, Christina Bakou, Konstantinos Efthymiou, Lina Thomopoulou, Dimitris Palligkinis, Maria Zachariadou, and Michalis Sevasteris with their courageous acts on topics such as gender, class, and race aligned perfectly with PDSFF ethos. We couldn’t wish for a better festival start.
The performance was followed by a DJ set and party inside the imposing Bageion Hotel.
